Veteran Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has admitted that he considered retiring last season. The 35 year old faced injury problems with Leicester City last season. “No doubt there were moments when I thought that way. I couldn’t get over the injury. Every time I come back I went back and ran into problems again.”
“A lot of people say there’s no way you’re this close to retiring. But you have to prove yourself. And I feel like I can do that,” Evans said.
For Evans, a youngster from Manchester United’s youth academy. He successfully won three Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League with manager Sir Alex Ferguson before moving to the West Bromwich Albion in 2015.
