Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli has been banned for seven months for gambling offences. He admitted to the charges including receiving treatment for gambling addiction. And help others avoid the same fate.

Italian Football Federation issue a statement on Tuesday afternoon. It confirm that the ban is for 12 months. But can be reduce to 5 to 7 months with certain conditions.

This is why Fagioli must undergo gambling addiction treatment for at least six months.

He will also make at least 10 public appearances over a five-month period. Where he will explain his situation and help others avoid falling into the trap of gambling or help them recover from gambling addiction.

There is actually still an official 12 month ban. But 5 of those months will be cover by alternative treatment and public appearances.

He was banned from playing for 7 months.

Fagioli will also be fine 12,500 euros for breaching Article 24 of the Sports Justice Code. This prohibits gambling on football matches organized by the Italian Football Federation, UEFA or FIFA.

For Nicolo Fagioli, he has been a Juventus player since the youth team. And had the opportunity to play for the first team in 2021. Before being loaned to Cremonese during the 2021/22 season.
